Gaurav teaches his own unique style, a mix of tradition, modern movement, and love, he has an in-depth and seemingly never-ending knowledge and passion for yoga in a variety of areas including history, asana, adjustment and alignment, philosophy, Ayurveda, mantras, meditation, and pranayama.  

 

He has studied yoga in depth at the world’s oldest university of yoga in Haridwar, India, graduating with a PhD in Pranayama and a Masters of Human Consciousness and Yogic Science, among other studies; Gaurav has been running his own yoga school in India since 2014, where his graduates are teaching all around the world.  

 

When people first meet Gaurav they are instantly drawn to his loving, caring and calming demeanour, so please don’t miss out to connect with him whilst he is here in Sydney for the second year at our beautiful yoga studio. Gaurav is one of our teachers on our Botannix teacher training programme again this year.

Friday 22nd May 1 - 5pm

1pm – 2.30pm Introduction, guidelines for pranayama theory.

2.30pm – 3.30pm Pranayama practice (demonstration/instruction and practical).

3.30pm – 4.30pm Mantra theory and practice.

4.30pm – 5pm Meditation practical.

 Saturday 23rd May 11am – 3.30pm

11am – 12.30pm Pranayama practice (demonstration/instruction and practical)

12.30pm – 1.30pm Pranayama theory and questions.

1.30pm – 2pm Lunch (30 minutes).

2pm Meditation practice

2.30pm – 3.30pm Meditation and mantra theory.

Sunday 24th May 11am – 3.30pm

11am – 12.30pm Pranayama practice (demonstration/instruction and practical).

12.30pm – 1.30pm Pranayama theory and questions.

1.30pm – 2pm Lunch (30 minutes).

2pm Meditation practice.

2.30pm – 3.30pm Question and answer.

COMMENTS: 
Pranayama practical (students instructed to have an early breakfast (before 9am on Saturday and Sunday) so food has been digestion and stomach is mostly empty), therefore Friday, starting after lunch, will begin with theory but a light and early lunch (before 12pm is recommended) Mediation, there will be practical but experience is most important for this topic.
